GOALIE SCHOOL

AGE:  Boys and Girls 13-15 years old

DATES:  Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29; Feb. 5

TIME:  2:00 p.m.

LOCATION: Teamworks Northborough

COST:  $145.00

The XCEL Goalie School features 5 week of specialized lacrosse training from our goalie coach, Matt Ehrlich.

​

Open to both boys and girls, players will be instructed on proper goaltending technique:

• Ready position

• Balance

• Footwork/stepping to the ball

• Recovery after the save

• Clearing

​

Additionally, players will be coached on goaltending strategy:

• Arc and angle

• Moving pipe to pipe

• Saving bounce shots

• Ball behind the goal

​

Full goalie equipment based on your level of play for the 2017 season is required to participate in this clinic.  Please contact us for clarification if you are unsure.  Cleats or sneakers can be worn on the synthetic grass surface.
