XCEL Lacrosse passionate about developing lacrosse players!  In 2004 XCEL Lacrosse was founded out of the desire to provide quality lacrosse playing and training options to youth and adult players in areas underserved by quality lacrosse programs.   

 

XCEL quickly merged with Blackstone Lax to offer a robust selection of year round leagues and lacrosse clinics to players throughout Massachusetts.  In 2005 XCEL we pioneered the first pre-season training program that merged overall athletic development with lacrosse training.  While it seems pretty common now, this was the first program on the east coast to emphasize the need of players to train as athletes in order to improve their lacrosse abilities.  Most recently in 2015 XCEL merged with BIG 3 Lacrosse and we now offer summer lacrosse camps for boys and girls in addition to international lacrosse trips that combine the love of lacrosse with international travel.

Our directors and coaching staff are motivated by the desire to expand the game of lacrosse and offer programs that are a good value and emphasize the overall player experience.  All staff are required to have playing and coaching experience relative to the program and level they are coaching.  In 2016/2017 we are requiring all of our directors/lead instructors for youth and high school camps and clinics to complete the level online course of the US Lacrosse Coaching Education Program (CEP).  In 2017/2018 it is our goal to have all coaches working directly in the development of players to complete Level 1 online course of the US lacrosse CEP and for our lead instructors to receive their Level 1 CEP Certification.

As we look to the future XCEL is excited about the opportunity to expand into new markets and offerings like our College Prospect Camps.  Our goal remains focused:  To provide a top level lacrosse experience that meets the individual player’s needs and goals and for that experience to be a good value.
